Before contacting any company, you need to know if you qualify. This is done through the National Verifier system. You will enter your personal details, and the system instantly checks state and federal databases to see if you participate in programs like SNAP or Medicaid.

Locate a Device Provider

Here is the tricky part: Not all Lifeline companies offer laptops. Most only provide a SIM card or a basic smartphone. You must specifically search for a "participating provider" in your state that advertises a tablet or laptop bundle.

Submit Your Application

Once you've chosen a provider, you will fill out their enrollment form. This links your National Verifier approval to their service. If the plan includes a laptop (especially under ACP rules), you will likely be asked to pay a required co-pay between $10 and $50. This is a federal rule, not a hidden fee.

Approval & Delivery

After your application is processed (usually 2-5 business days), you will receive a tracking number. Your device will be shipped directly to the home address you verified.
